Acts of Kindness!

Today I was at work and decided I didnt want my lunch I brought, so I left for lunch and went to my favorite place Golden Spoon, yep I had frozen yogurt for lunch, which happened to be less calories than what I had orgionally brought so I see nothing wrong with that. Anyway I was driving back to my office on South Decatur and it is under construction as all streets are in Las Vegas these days... I was driving North and a motorcyclist was driving South, I saw a van pull out from a side street and then stop really quickly, well this Motorcycle was trying very hard to miss that van and swerved to miss them, well she definately missed them and as I watched her try to regain control, she failed and skid across the road hit her head and the bike went the opposite direction. Well being that no one was behind me and no one behind her I watched this woman fall to the ground and not move as I watched this happen, I pulled over to the side on the dirt part of this road and ran over to assist her since I am certified first aid and all I figured I may as well put my certification to work. I watched this van speed off as if they had done something wrong, and before I knew it they were gone, when I approached the woman now laying in the middle of the asphault I could see that she had some pretty bad road rash and was bleeding, I had this adrenaline rush and called 911 and ensured they were on their way, by this time I have already spoke to this woman and made sure she was concious and knew that help was on the way, another citizen like myself had watched it happen from her rear view mirror and turned around to help as well. This poor woman whose name was Becky was 42 years old and drove a brand new Yellow Crotch Rocket as she laid on the asphault on her side bleeding from her face.. the paramedics show up and were quick to assist her and of course asked me if I saw what happened..... Of course I saw it in slow motion, I hope this woman turns out to be ok, but as I was leaving beacuse I was told I didnt need to stay for any reason, I heard her ask the Paramedics if she could just drive home and she felt fine, her face just hurt. I would have to say after eating gravel your face would hurt, but man oh man I hope she is ok and gets back on that brand new bike. I felt pretty good once I was able to calm myself down. When was the last time you were someone's hero or had an act of kindness like this? Think about it!!!!!
