Ethel M Cactus Garden...

Well last night we went to the Ethel M Cactus Garden, and it was cool. I had never been there before, it was worth the drive for sure. We then took the kids to Outback for dinner and then we drove around and looked at neighborhood lights. They were so beautiful as always....

ONE MORE DAY.......

Time has finally come... Chuck will be home tomorrow. I am so very excited. We have not been around or seen in each other in 44 days, and we will get to see each other fo rthe next 12 days. We are both very excited, and I am sure our reunion at the airport will be so great and also emotional. But we have so many things planned while he is home, we will have to post many pictures and I will keep you all posted as much as I am able. But I am cannot wait. I also start my vacation tomorrow which of course it awesome. I found out today that I passed both of my classes with A's for these past two classes I took. I am off of school until January 2nd and then I will be done March 4th, I will graduate with my Associates and will be able to move forward with my Bachellor's which is going to be very exciting too. This next year is going to be filled with many new juourney's and chapters I am excited to watch it all happen. Chuck and I have also decided to look or find a house that we potentially would like to buy and maybe even start trying for a baby later in the year too. 2012 is right around the corner, and exciting things are going to be starting to happen all throughout the year. Only 1 full day before he is going to be on a plane to come home and be with me and Zack for the holidays. :) I am so full of Joy right now. I cannot wait!!! Until next time, CHEERS!!

Another Chipmunk Movie....

Last Night we went to see the new Chipmunk Movie. It was very funny and the opening scene was the new Carnival ship and I was just recently explaining to Zack the new ship and all the things there are to do on it. He was like wow that boat is huge. Anyways we went and had dinner at Olive Garden which was mine and Lauren's choice. We then drove over to Santa Fe to watch the movie, it was a great night and we kept warm which is always good. We have just a few things left to do before we make it to Christmas Day and I am excited for all of the festivites coming our way... Tonight we have a few things we could do but we just havent decided what to do just yet.

Bellagio is my Favorite hotel....

Bellagio is my favorite hotel, I love this place and the beauty within it. Every year we try to go and view the Conservatory and this year we did and I took so many pictures it was hard to choose just a few for this Blog. I will post them on Facebook if you prefer to see them on there but man it is almost breath taking every time we go there. Anyway There was an area of Polar Bears and they are life size, and so fun. They remind me of the real Polar Bears from Sea World San Diego, but smell wayyy better..... :) Enjoy!!

Christmas, Vegas Style...

Oh goodness we have done so many things in the past few days I have not had alot of time to organize my thoughts and pictures to post promptly on here. I am working on it now though. I really hope that you all enjoy the blogs and pictures included. So we went to The Bellagio Conservatory this past Sunday with Lauren, Julie, Grandma Lorri, Zack and Me. We did have a great time. We drove all together in the Reindeer Sleigh also know as Julie's Expedition, we sang Christmas Carols again, and my mom caught us up on my Grandpa and her visit with him in San Diego this past weekend. We did get lots of great pictures when we were at the Conservatory.... I loved every second of this night as well as every smell from every flower and plant they had in the Conservatory.

Holiday Time = Great Times and Great Memories....

Oh how I love this time of year, besides cleaning out your bank account for Christmas Gifts, the one kid I do it for every year is my baby boy Zackery, he appreciates this time of year as well. We have had so much fun so far and still have so much more to do. I love him and love to be able to have a child to do these holiday things with..... not every one has that.

Town Square!!

Well we have been so busy with different Christmas Events over the past few days I havent even had time to Blog at all, not even to add some pictures or anything, I am sorry for that. But here I am getting you all updated on what we have done and where we have gone. Saturday night Julie and I took Lauren and Zackery to Town Square and I must say that is one beautiful place, especially now with the Holiday decorations, and we were in for a treat that night, we got there just in time to have dinner at Claim Jumper and then head outside to watch some holiday dance groups perform, while we stood and watched them it started to rain and hail on us, and boy was it cold. Then it snowed in and all around the Christmas Tree area, Zack and Lauren got to get Hot cocoa and ride the train, we ended the night with a visit to Santa Clause, and according to Lauren and Zackery he was the real one, not just one of his helpers. The tingle in his eye and his big belly is what gave it away. Lauren and Zack were so excited and they could not believe it, and we are still hearing about it. Oh the joys of the kiddos during this time of year are so very exciting it makes me not want this time of year to ever end.

Cookie Exchange!!

Julie and I held our 2nd Annual Cookie Exchange, we had it at my house this year and it was a hit. We ended up having 8 people who participated, and all the cookies were so yummy. We may have been able to score some new people to come and participate next year too. Hopefully we can get about 15 people next year. Oh how exciting it will be... well here is a picture of all the packages. Until next time, Cheers!!

Glittering Lights Cont....

Zack and Lauren

Viva Las Vegas

Glittering Lights!!!

North Pole Fire Station

Well Zack, Me, Lauren, and Miss Jewlz all went to the Glittering lights on Tuesday Night, and we had soo much fun and laughed so hard. Julie drove which was best because she is a beast behind the wheel, we sang Christmas Carols at the top pf pur lungs, took great pictures of lights and then got Hot Chocolate and drove home. On our way home we decided to take the long route and drive through neighborhoods to see how many people decorated their houses this year. We even took a drive on Julie's new street where she is buying her first home. :) Very great night. Wednesday we didnt have time to get together since I was doing some last minute cleaning and baking for last nights Cookie Exchange, how exciting. Here are some pictures for you all to enjoy..... Until next time, Cheers!

Meeting with Santa Claus...

Oh Mr. Zack had a chat with Santa this week. Miss Jewlz took him to Magical Forest early with Lala and he got to see Santa and take a picture with him. He told him what he wanted for Christmas and I am sure Santa was still wondering if Zack would make the nice or naughty list??? I think we are all wondering that at this point, especially because two minutes before he saw him he was acting a fool and Miss Jewlz had to put his little butt in check. :) Well this is definately one of our traditions every year, is seeing Santa at Magical Forest and taking a picture with him... it was very rainy here in Las Vegas last night so of course the kids were a bit cold.  I couldnt be there last night, but we are making an extra trip this year once Chuck comes home, did I mention he will be home in 7 days, and I am absolutely thrilled. I cannot wait, well I must go for now, Until Next time, Cheers!!!

Start of 12 days of Christmas...

Oh we have this tradition in our house where we do something for 12 dyas before Christmas, we started it this Sunday and Julie and Lauren came over. Lauren cooked Tacos for dinner and then Zack and Lauren built Gingerbread houses. They turned out so cute, even with some mishaps with the icing and candies rolling all over the table in my dinning room. lol We had alot of fun and here are just some pictures from the finished product. We enjoyed ourselves, eating and listening to Christmas Music. Tonight Zack and Lala are going to the Magical Forest to see Kahlia perform, and I have a holiday party that I am attending. I am sure the kids will have fun and I will be sure to get some pictures posted of that as long as Miss Jewlz takes some. :)

School, Homework, and Work...

I am finishing up Geology and Teaching Math for Elementary school classes, and I really have enjoyed both classes. I will soon be taking Teaching Math for Elementary school II and Nutrition. I didnt get to choose those two classes, but they will be my final two classes and I will finally have my Associates degree. I will be off for the holidays and start those two classes in January 2012. Then I will finish them up in the end of Feburary and start my Bachelors program right away which I am very excited for, since I will be able to start my application process with the state. I will be able to move forward with my Teaching Career and put all of  my schooling to good use. I hope that I can find a position within the school district and at a school close to where I live so I wont have to drive very far for class.
As I said above I am very excited to start my Bachelors program and that is mostly because it will be the start of my future carreer and it will be more hands on. I am hoping to be able to be a teacher in elementary education 1st thru 5th grade. Either way I will be happy with what I am able to accomplish while teaching. I recently wrote a paper about autism and autistic teaching methods, it has intrigued me so much that I have given some thought to taking some additional certification courses in order to possibly be able to aide in the teaching or even teach these autistic children, it seems that it will be so rewarding. More to come I hope.... Until next time, Cheers!!!

My Christmas Tree 2011..

As promised, I have loaded a picture of our Christmas Tree for this year. I do love my little tree. I always put this tree up every year, it is Zack's tree, he normally will decorate it his way and also when he buys little gifts from the Holiday Shoppe at school he will wrap them and put them under this tree. I will always do the big tree and no one is allowed to help me because I  like it to look a certain way and I like it to look like I purchased it from a department store. haha I am excited for our Christmas this year because we will be able to do many things together while Chuck is home and also while Zack is out of school. I hope you enjoy the picture of my tree, and until next time, Cheers!

The Stockings are hung....

It is really starting to look like Christmas at my house, the stockings are hung and I already told you about my tree.. Hee hee. I hope you like my stockings.... Missing my hubby tonight. :-(

Christmas Shopping.....

Have you finished or even started Christmas shopping yet? I have and most of it I have done online and am just waiting for the items to be delivered to my house, but it seems like it is taking forever, but it could be because I am ready to have presents under my tree now that it is up. Haha if you saw my tree this year you would all probably laugh since I have a 3 foot little tree this year and i am sure the presents will over bear the tree when I get them all wrapped. But I like my tree and I sold my big tree to Miss Julie this year because she wanted it so bad. I am going to get a new tree after the holidays are over so then I will get a good deal and I will be able to have it ready for next year. I want a 6-9 foot prelighted tree for next year. I will have to start looking for more Ornaments to put on there for next year but I am excited to find one I really love. I will post a picture of our tree very soon as long as you promise to not laugh. :)
Anyway I have almost finished decorating our house with the lights, garland, and other things wintery. I am going to finish the garland today and then I will be done. I also have a few little presents that I could wrap but I cannot do that until Zack is at his Dad's house because mostly I have bought him small little things.
I still have some shopping to do and I dont mind doing it, but it is way easier to do online. I will also be waiting for Chuck to come home to finish Zackery's Christmas list so he can have fun in Wal Mart with me, we will play with all the toys before we even fill our cart up with toys and other presents. I hope to get Chucks presents in the mail this week and get them wrapped and under my tree before he gets home. :)
Chuck will be home in 16 days and then we will be able to have lots of fun and laughs... we have a busy week and a half while he is here. I have to go for now but until next time, Cheers!!

Hello December!!

Boy oh Boy December is here already, and how did December welcome you? We were welcomed to December here in Las Vegas with a snowy morning and a very cold and brisk day. It is not expected to get above 50 for the rest of this week, and I am not so sure that I am ready for that cold weather yet. I like when it cools down and it feels like Winter, but when the wind is added, it makes it that much colder. Brrrrr... I am almost ready for Christmas, just finishing up some small Christmas shopping. It will be a great holiday season this year, once Chuck gets home he will be able to help me wrap all these gifts for our kiddos in our lives. I will have to wrap Landyn's gifts since I must ship those to Texas so he will have them for Christmas.
I am very excited that it is already December, I enjoy this month for many reasons. It is such a glorious month and all of the celebrations make it a bright month. It also happens to be the month that my Dad passed away a few years ago, and even though he is not here ohysically his spirit surely never leaves. We always celebrate his passing because he lived such an amazing fulfilled life. We will see how we celebrate this year, it happens to be on a Wednesday so it could end up being a Wine Wednesday at my house or maybe somewhere else, you never know. I hope you all are getting ready for the holiday like I am, not only do we get to celebrate my Dad, but also the holidays and Chuck will be home in 20 days... can you believe it? Only 20 days and he will be home... little does he know I am suprising him with taking the entire time he is here off of work so we can spend every day together. I am so excited. I hope he will be too. Well I must go for now but until next time, Cheers!!!

Me, Myself, and I!!

Oh goodness this is an interesting topic.. lol But I will say I love taking pictures of everything, but decided to post this picture for some strange reason. I do like it and I have had multiple replies and comments that its a nice picture. lol I dont agree but whatever.. This Pic is me, and I hope you like it. I have changed my hair a little since I took this picture only a few weeks ago, but I got my hair done right after so I have dark brown hair now... Anyways I am just posting to post. I hope you all enjoy! I love pictures and love posting them, but have you ever Googled a mug shot of someone? Thankful enough, I do not have a mug shot picture anywhere and I dont plan on getting one anytime soon, however I have searched some mug shots of people in my past that had them and geez I surely hope my hair and makeup are both done if I ever do get one. I swear some people dont look at themselves before they leave the house. lololololol Enjoy!
Until Next time, Cheers!!!!

Mobile Blogging

Just testing this out.....I just saw this app for my phone and got excited, im hoping it works... Here is a picture of us out from Friday.

Holiday Weekends are the Best!!

Hello there, it has been a few days since my last post, but I have been so busy with the holiday and all the exciting things I did this past week. Wednesday I went to our friend Walt's house to bake, eat, and have cocktails. Thursday I finally saw my Twilight movies which I loved, then we went to Walts for Thanksgiving dinner, it was very good and I got another call from Chuck, we got to talk for a while which was nice. It was so hard to spend Thanksgiving without him, but he was on my mind for sure. Later that night Mom and I went through all the Black Friday ads to see what kind of goods would be on sale this year and I went home to bed, since I had to work on Friday. I worked all day on Friday and did a little shopping at lunch that day, then I raced home to change and get ready to go out. We all went to Osaka for dinner, then went to Counts Vamps Rock N Roll bar to watch our friends band play, then we headed down to Stoneys South, all these places were good times as usual and we ended the night around 3:30am and headed home. It was very cold outside but it was fun. Saturday I played tourist with Becky, Joe, and Brian from Boston. We had a great time and we laughed all day. I even got to see the Pawn Stars shop down on Las Vegas Blvd, what an dump but kind of cool place. All the history of things in there I think is what makes it interesting.

After we left there we headed home, I went home and stayed in for the night which was worth every wink of sleep that I got, I woke up on Sunday and felt liek I needed to go and shop over at Sams Club, when I was done there I went home and needed a nap, so I took one. Kind of had a quiet end of my weekend which was much needed. I decorated my house for Christmas and started my menu for our Christmas Eve dinner, we are very excited for that. I got to talk to Chuck and also received a few letters from him, which is always exciting and brings a smile to my face everytime. I miss him so much and when I told him about the Pawn Shop I went to he was very mad, because he loves that show and has been wanting to go there for months, well he will get to go when he comes home because I promised. lol Anyway all in all it was a great weekend, and now Chuck and I are on a countdown until the day he comes home for the holidays, only 23 more days! I cant wait and neither can he. :) Until next time, Cheers!!

Busy, Busy, Busy....

I have been so busy this week and this past weekend. I have been able to get a lotof things done. Friday I was feeling a bit under the weather, but I am starting to feel better. I have been having good days and bad days missing Chuck a lot. I have been receiving letters and I got another call from him this past Sunday... I never thought I would miss him this much, but I guess when you spend close to EVERYDAY with the same person for 5 years it comes with the package I guess. Anyway I did get to talk to him on Sunday again which was nice since I got to update him on what I have been doing and what everyone else is up to as well. Today is our niece Sabrina's birthday so we are going to dinner tonight to Dona Maria's, one of her favorite places to eat and it is definateely one of Chucks favorites too.... Then tomorrow I have to work and Thanksgiving is two days away. I am kind of excited about not having to cook dinner that day, Mom, Kris, and I are all going to the movies that morning and then to visti Becky and Joe and Walt for a drink or two and then maybe out to dinner or home since both Mom and I have to work on Friday. All the Black Friday madness is going to be crazy and I will be at work while all these people shop until they drop. :)
I am super tired lately and I think it is because I am not able to fall asleep very quickly now that I am sleeping alone every night and it has been warm then cold for the whole week.... lol But I also started my tattoo last Saturday and it has been bothering me the last few nights, going through all the healing processes and all. It has been itchy and starting to get more dry now. I will post ap icture below this so you can all see what it looks like so far. I have been wanting this tattoo for about 4 years now and finally decided to spend the time and money to go and start having it done. I will have about two more sessions with the artist and it will be all done, I just want to be sure it is done by the spring so I can show it off on our cruise next year..... I hope you all enjoy... Until next time, Cheers!!!!

TGIF.....

OMG.. I am so happy that it is Friday. It has been a loong week and I am very ready for the weekend. I am missing Chuck so much that I at times feel a little lost without him. I have Jelwz who is always there when I need her and she calls to check on me everyday! I love her.... I spent some time last night with my Bg brother and Becky and it was nice to just hang out and drink some wine and chat.
This weekend is going to be very busy for me, well at least tomorrow is.... I am going to get my tattoo on my back that I have waited so long to get. It is very big and will take a few sittings to get it finished. I am very excited and a little nervous too, but the representation means everything to me. I cant wait to post some pictures for you all to see. I will do that as soon as I can.
I have to get to work now and maybe even try and do some homework today too. Until next time, Cheers!!

First Call..

Well I finally go my first call from Chuck since he has been gone for over a week now.. Wow that week was hard but it was soo good to hear from him. I think he really misses home and we only had about 10 minutes to talk but that is better than nothing. I miss him so much and I cannot just call him when I feel like it. But I have been able to cope and deal... he sounded good just missing home and me and Zackery. I booked his flight home for Christmas today as well, which was a pretty penny, and that will be his gift for Christmas that is for sure. lol I am very excited for him to come home for the holidays. Anywho I just figured I would write a little about what is going on in my world right now, but I need to get back to work. Until next time, Cheers!!

Hi Again.... I was looking on my future bookings with the Cruise line that we use for our cruising, and its only 208 days away. I am so excited for this cruise, not only is it going to be Zack's 10th birthday present but it is also the celebration of my little brothers Garduation from High school. So far it is going to be Chuck and I, Zack, My Mom and Kris. I spoke with Chuck's dad last night and he is planning on coming too. We have extended the invite this time to everyone on both sides of the family, especially since it leavs from Los Angeles, so it is very close for us to travel too. We cannot wait for this cruise, it will be Chuck and I's third cruise and Zackery's first. I am currently working on getting Zackery his passport so we have no issue with him leaving or coming back into the USA..... Buuuuttt on another hand, oh wait nevermind.. haha just kidding. Anyway as I said we are all so very excited for this cruise, and we are hoping for more people to book and join us for that week... June 2012 please hurry up and come faster. Until Next time, Cheers!

Their wedding was held at the Trevi Entertainment Bowling center, we had such a great time with the newlyweds, we danced all night and we bowled all night too. Such a great time spent with them and all of our family and friends.

Another Wedding..

So my cousing Jen is getting married this Friday which is 11-11-11. I am very excited for her, and she is the last one of us cousins in our age group that has not been married yet... then there is me who is on her second marriage.. lol but I only had one wedding and then a drive thru wedding. Anyway she is so happy and I am so happy for her, I cannot wait to see her tie the knot this weekend her wedding is in California so my mom, myself, and Kris will be all driving there on Friday. I am very excited, while we are in California we will be seeing my Grandpa Larry and Nana which is nice since I cannot remember the last time I saw him. I sure do wish Chuck was here to go to this wedding with me, but he isnt... bummer, this is the second wedding this year he missed and I am going alone, but the good thing is that I can dance my booty off all night at the wedding and have a glass of wine or two, cause my Mom is driving! :) Well that is all for now, until next time, Cheers!

Day 1....

Hey there everyone... well its official Chcuk left today, We took this picture on Friday Night when we went out with everyone for a going away party for Chuck. It was so great to go out with everyone. I am sure glad that I have the support system I have.:) Thank you all for that.
It is only the first day which of course is a little emotional, I have only cried twice and it was because Chcuk called or text something in between his flights and lay overs, we did get to talk for about a half an hour on the phone and he already misses home and me.. of course you do is what I say!!
I am hoping for nothing but the best and for this time to go by super fast and Chrsitmas to be here very fast.. I am not one to wish time to move by faster because I like to enjoy every day to its fullest but at the same time I like to enjoy those days with the people I love and like to be around.. :)
I had an entire day to myself since Zack had school and Chuck had to be to the airport around 9am, I took him to the airport, chatted on the phone with Jewlz and then watched daytime television, which is very boring might I add, and then I had to get Zack from school. He has been keeping me busy tonight and we had to do homework which is always fun. I am going back to work tomorrow and then heading to California on Friday for my cousins wedding, I am very excited to go and it will be fun I am sure. I do have plans on Saturday when I get home but we will see if those change.
Well that is all I have for now, until next time....Cheers!!

Harvest is here.....

My favorite season is here, I woke up this morning thinking OMG it is already harvest and November. I thought about this all day and all I kept thinking was how one day I will wake up and Fall will be over and Winter will be here... well when I left my office today it was a bit chilly outside and I got home to a warm cooked meal from my Hubby, then we ate and cleaned up the kitchen... about an hour later we went for a jog, Chuck, myself and Zack and sure enough it was cold and windy. I cannot believe the cold weather is already here and it will soon be time to kick on the heater and wear my warm pj's and slippers around the house. You know when you get cold enough that you cannot warm up, yes that is when you have to bust out the warm clothes and shoes. I hope you like the picture I am posting with this post, I took it this weekend while we were at the pumpkin patch, I could not believe the size of the stems on some of these pumpkins, I enjoyed taking lots of pictures at the patch this year.. More to come I hope. Until next time, Cheers!!

November Begins.....

I cannot believe that it is already November. It seems like just last week was my birthday and it was Spring Time. I am ready for cooler weather that is for sure, but I was not thinking about Holidays and Cooler weather. Thanksgiving will be different this year since Chuck will not be home, but we will make the best of it even though he is gone. We have decided since we will not be cooking a Thanksgiving dinner for ourselves, we will still buy a Thanksgiving Dinner for a Family in need and give it to Charity. We are excited to help a cause. We will save our Thanksgiving dinner for Christmas Eve when Chuck is home for Holiday Vacation, The great thing is that I have been able to already have gotten half of my Christmas shopping done, which is always a plus. I am hoping to be done before December 1st we shall see if I can accomplish this. :) Well I have to go for now, I hope you all enjoy your First day of November.

Pumpkin Patch 2011!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2011, we had such a great time together. It was a warm day that day and we were pretty hot. We didnt buy any pumpkin's because we had already bought them a few days ago. But Chuck put Zack in the Wheel Barrow which was funny! Such a great time. Maybe next year we can try and head to the Orchard and pick out our pumpkin from the vine. Cheers and Happy Halloween to you all!

10 days!!!!

So as some of you know, Chuck is leaving for Basic and AIT training, well it is only 10 days away from his departure, it makes me sad and sometimes a little nervous. I am sad because my Best Friend and My Love is leaving me, the one person that I share everything with, even though I dont want to all the time I still do... I am excited for this chapter in our lives but I am just sad to see him leave. He will be back for Christmas and New Years which is far more important to me than Thanksgiving, so I will see him for two weeks then he leaves again and wont be back until the first week of April 2012. I am nervous mostly because I will have lots of alone time and lonely nights, I am only nervous about that because I am afraid of the dark, maybe this will be a way of conquering that fear, but we shall see. I know this will be for our best interest in the future and for our goals that we have set for the next 5 years but it is still a bummer... on a lighter note I have been "trimming the fat" and when I say that I do mean around my hips but also around my house and life. I enjoy all of the people who are around me and in my life for individual reasons and they should all know their purpose in my life by now, if they dont then they should ask. I am so greatful for those around me and those who I can go to when I need them. Sheryll (Bailey's Mom) has been my most recent person to realize I cannot go without talking too, you see Bailey's Mom and I work together and she spent two weeks away at another office, and although we talked almost everyday via instant message, we didnt see one another and we normally eat lunch together and used to sit right next to each other, so not seeing her was a change buuuutttt she is back in our office and haha we are definately back at the laughs and stories we get to share. Thank you Bailey's Mom, Sheryll :) Until next time, Cheers!

Chicken & Dumplings...

I made this the other night in my Crockpot/ Slow Cooker and it was a hit in my house. I will definately be making this again.
Here is what you need....
3-4 chicken breasts - cubed or whole
1 small white onion - chopped
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1- can premade biscuit dough
Here is how you Prepare...
Combine raw chicken, soup, chopped onion, salt and pepper add water just to cover all of your ingredients, and cook on high in crock pot for 5-6 hours, then an hour before you are ready to serve tear apart the biscuit dough and put into crock pot, stir gently and cook on high for an additional hour or until the center of your dough is cooked throughly. Enjoy with Saltine cracker or by itself.

It is so yummy!!!!

Passing....

OMG!!!! I just got News that I passed my two recent classes Algebra II and Cultural Diversity, Thank goodness I passed. I was struggling big time because I have come to the conclusion that Algebra is just not my thing, good to know now that in my teaching endeavors I will never aspire to be an Algebra teacher, I will leave that up to the amazing teachers who are good at it. lol
I am just so happy to know that I passed and although my GPA may drop a little I will still hold at least a 3.25 which I am happy about for now. I am entering into the world of Geology and Math for Teachers which is a class that teaches you the basic principles and teaching principles on how to teach Math to my future students. I like this class so far and hope that I can do well in it. :)
Until next time, enjoy the blogs and Cheers!!!

Acts of Kindness!

Today I was at work and decided I didnt want my lunch I brought, so I left for lunch and went to my favorite place Golden Spoon, yep I had frozen yogurt for lunch, which happened to be less calories than what I had orgionally brought so I see nothing wrong with that. Anyway I was driving back to my office on South Decatur and it is under construction as all streets are in Las Vegas these days... I was driving North and a motorcyclist was driving South, I saw a van pull out from a side street and then stop really quickly, well this Motorcycle was trying very hard to miss that van and swerved to miss them, well she definately missed them and as I watched her try to regain control, she failed and skid across the road hit her head and the bike went the opposite direction. Well being that no one was behind me and no one behind her I watched this woman fall to the ground and not move as I watched this happen, I pulled over to the side on the dirt part of this road and ran over to assist her since I am certified first aid and all I figured I may as well put my certification to work. I watched this van speed off as if they had done something wrong, and before I knew it they were gone, when I approached the woman now laying in the middle of the asphault I could see that she had some pretty bad road rash and was bleeding, I had this adrenaline rush and called 911 and ensured they were on their way, by this time I have already spoke to this woman and made sure she was concious and knew that help was on the way, another citizen like myself had watched it happen from her rear view mirror and turned around to help as well. This poor woman whose name was Becky was 42 years old and drove a brand new Yellow Crotch Rocket as she laid on the asphault on her side bleeding from her face.. the paramedics show up and were quick to assist her and of course asked me if I saw what happened..... Of course I saw it in slow motion, I hope this woman turns out to be ok, but as I was leaving beacuse I was told I didnt need to stay for any reason, I heard her ask the Paramedics if she could just drive home and she felt fine, her face just hurt. I would have to say after eating gravel your face would hurt, but man oh man I hope she is ok and gets back on that brand new bike. I felt pretty good once I was able to calm myself down. When was the last time you were someone's hero or had an act of kindness like this? Think about it!!!!!

Just a Thought!

When people dont talk to one another do you feel like you are missing a piece of your heart or being? Do you think the way that someone affects you may affect them the same way? I have to say that I love my family very much and love my little brother more than he will ever know, and I hope for nothing but the best for him. When someone turns 18 there is a turning point in their life that sometimes they dont understand, and with as much as that kid has been through over the past 3 years I am suprised that he has been able to handle so much and not break down. Just some food for thought for those of you who are going through a lot as well as maybe put your kids through a lot. Just remember there is always a light at the end of the tunnel you may feel you are in and hopefully you have someone in your life that can express this to you. Until next time Cheers!

Zackery David

This is Zackery he is 9 years old, and he decided to dress himself for his school pictures this year. He didnt do too bad. He really enjoys school, and he just started his 4th grade year. He is very excited for the holiday season as he is every year. This year will be a little different though, Chuck will be away so Zack is a little concerned with how it will be without him, but I have assured him that either way the holidays will still come and we will still have a great time as we always do. :)

Harvest is Coming!!!

Here was last years pictures from our trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Always a fun time with our family, and as you can see Mr. Zackery was just a nut that night. I hope to post new ones soon. Happy Halloween and Harvest to you all!

Getting Started!

Hello All. I have been wanting to start a Blog for sometime. I also wanted to start a journal, so I have decided to make it one thing... I am sure you will all see some ups and downs especially with this chapter in our lives. For those of you who do not know me, my name is Candace Julian and my Husbands name is Chuck Julian, we have no children together yet, but I do have a son named Zackery and I could not have asked for a better Step father for him. Although Zacks dad is very much in the picture, Chuck still treats him as if he were his own. :)
I recently changed career paths within my Job at the bank which is great for me, and I am currently studying at the University of Phoenix for my Associates in Elementary Education, and I will soon be starting my Bachelors Program. I should be able to change industries within the next 3 years as long as everything goes as planned.
Chuck has recently signed a 6 year contract with the US National Guard ad he will be leaving soon for his basic and AIT training, he will be gone for about 5-6 months, with a 2 week holiday break for Christmas and New Years. This next few months while he is away will definately be hard for Zack and I to be without him since it has been 6 years since we have not only been together but also never been away from each other during this time.
I hope that you all enjoy my blog and also create your own blogs. :)
Blog with you soon! Cheers!!
