Pumpkin Patch 2011!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2011, we had such a great time together. It was a warm day that day and we were pretty hot. We didnt buy any pumpkin's because we had already bought them a few days ago. But Chuck put Zack in the Wheel Barrow which was funny! Such a great time. Maybe next year we can try and head to the Orchard and pick out our pumpkin from the vine. Cheers and Happy Halloween to you all!

10 days!!!!

So as some of you know, Chuck is leaving for Basic and AIT training, well it is only 10 days away from his departure, it makes me sad and sometimes a little nervous. I am sad because my Best Friend and My Love is leaving me, the one person that I share everything with, even though I dont want to all the time I still do... I am excited for this chapter in our lives but I am just sad to see him leave. He will be back for Christmas and New Years which is far more important to me than Thanksgiving, so I will see him for two weeks then he leaves again and wont be back until the first week of April 2012. I am nervous mostly because I will have lots of alone time and lonely nights, I am only nervous about that because I am afraid of the dark, maybe this will be a way of conquering that fear, but we shall see. I know this will be for our best interest in the future and for our goals that we have set for the next 5 years but it is still a bummer... on a lighter note I have been "trimming the fat" and when I say that I do mean around my hips but also around my house and life. I enjoy all of the people who are around me and in my life for individual reasons and they should all know their purpose in my life by now, if they dont then they should ask. I am so greatful for those around me and those who I can go to when I need them. Sheryll (Bailey's Mom) has been my most recent person to realize I cannot go without talking too, you see Bailey's Mom and I work together and she spent two weeks away at another office, and although we talked almost everyday via instant message, we didnt see one another and we normally eat lunch together and used to sit right next to each other, so not seeing her was a change buuuutttt she is back in our office and haha we are definately back at the laughs and stories we get to share. Thank you Bailey's Mom, Sheryll :) Until next time, Cheers!

Chicken & Dumplings...

I made this the other night in my Crockpot/ Slow Cooker and it was a hit in my house. I will definately be making this again.
Here is what you need....
3-4 chicken breasts - cubed or whole
1 small white onion - chopped
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1- can premade biscuit dough
Here is how you Prepare...
Combine raw chicken, soup, chopped onion, salt and pepper add water just to cover all of your ingredients, and cook on high in crock pot for 5-6 hours, then an hour before you are ready to serve tear apart the biscuit dough and put into crock pot, stir gently and cook on high for an additional hour or until the center of your dough is cooked throughly. Enjoy with Saltine cracker or by itself.

It is so yummy!!!!

Passing....

OMG!!!! I just got News that I passed my two recent classes Algebra II and Cultural Diversity, Thank goodness I passed. I was struggling big time because I have come to the conclusion that Algebra is just not my thing, good to know now that in my teaching endeavors I will never aspire to be an Algebra teacher, I will leave that up to the amazing teachers who are good at it. lol
I am just so happy to know that I passed and although my GPA may drop a little I will still hold at least a 3.25 which I am happy about for now. I am entering into the world of Geology and Math for Teachers which is a class that teaches you the basic principles and teaching principles on how to teach Math to my future students. I like this class so far and hope that I can do well in it. :)
Until next time, enjoy the blogs and Cheers!!!

Acts of Kindness!

Today I was at work and decided I didnt want my lunch I brought, so I left for lunch and went to my favorite place Golden Spoon, yep I had frozen yogurt for lunch, which happened to be less calories than what I had orgionally brought so I see nothing wrong with that. Anyway I was driving back to my office on South Decatur and it is under construction as all streets are in Las Vegas these days... I was driving North and a motorcyclist was driving South, I saw a van pull out from a side street and then stop really quickly, well this Motorcycle was trying very hard to miss that van and swerved to miss them, well she definately missed them and as I watched her try to regain control, she failed and skid across the road hit her head and the bike went the opposite direction. Well being that no one was behind me and no one behind her I watched this woman fall to the ground and not move as I watched this happen, I pulled over to the side on the dirt part of this road and ran over to assist her since I am certified first aid and all I figured I may as well put my certification to work. I watched this van speed off as if they had done something wrong, and before I knew it they were gone, when I approached the woman now laying in the middle of the asphault I could see that she had some pretty bad road rash and was bleeding, I had this adrenaline rush and called 911 and ensured they were on their way, by this time I have already spoke to this woman and made sure she was concious and knew that help was on the way, another citizen like myself had watched it happen from her rear view mirror and turned around to help as well. This poor woman whose name was Becky was 42 years old and drove a brand new Yellow Crotch Rocket as she laid on the asphault on her side bleeding from her face.. the paramedics show up and were quick to assist her and of course asked me if I saw what happened..... Of course I saw it in slow motion, I hope this woman turns out to be ok, but as I was leaving beacuse I was told I didnt need to stay for any reason, I heard her ask the Paramedics if she could just drive home and she felt fine, her face just hurt. I would have to say after eating gravel your face would hurt, but man oh man I hope she is ok and gets back on that brand new bike. I felt pretty good once I was able to calm myself down. When was the last time you were someone's hero or had an act of kindness like this? Think about it!!!!!

Just a Thought!

When people dont talk to one another do you feel like you are missing a piece of your heart or being? Do you think the way that someone affects you may affect them the same way? I have to say that I love my family very much and love my little brother more than he will ever know, and I hope for nothing but the best for him. When someone turns 18 there is a turning point in their life that sometimes they dont understand, and with as much as that kid has been through over the past 3 years I am suprised that he has been able to handle so much and not break down. Just some food for thought for those of you who are going through a lot as well as maybe put your kids through a lot. Just remember there is always a light at the end of the tunnel you may feel you are in and hopefully you have someone in your life that can express this to you. Until next time Cheers!

Zackery David

This is Zackery he is 9 years old, and he decided to dress himself for his school pictures this year. He didnt do too bad. He really enjoys school, and he just started his 4th grade year. He is very excited for the holiday season as he is every year. This year will be a little different though, Chuck will be away so Zack is a little concerned with how it will be without him, but I have assured him that either way the holidays will still come and we will still have a great time as we always do. :)

Harvest is Coming!!!

Here was last years pictures from our trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Always a fun time with our family, and as you can see Mr. Zackery was just a nut that night. I hope to post new ones soon. Happy Halloween and Harvest to you all!

Getting Started!

Hello All. I have been wanting to start a Blog for sometime. I also wanted to start a journal, so I have decided to make it one thing... I am sure you will all see some ups and downs especially with this chapter in our lives. For those of you who do not know me, my name is Candace Julian and my Husbands name is Chuck Julian, we have no children together yet, but I do have a son named Zackery and I could not have asked for a better Step father for him. Although Zacks dad is very much in the picture, Chuck still treats him as if he were his own. :)
I recently changed career paths within my Job at the bank which is great for me, and I am currently studying at the University of Phoenix for my Associates in Elementary Education, and I will soon be starting my Bachelors Program. I should be able to change industries within the next 3 years as long as everything goes as planned.
Chuck has recently signed a 6 year contract with the US National Guard ad he will be leaving soon for his basic and AIT training, he will be gone for about 5-6 months, with a 2 week holiday break for Christmas and New Years. This next few months while he is away will definately be hard for Zack and I to be without him since it has been 6 years since we have not only been together but also never been away from each other during this time.
I hope that you all enjoy my blog and also create your own blogs. :)
Blog with you soon! Cheers!!
